Grant Promotes Conservation and Energy Audits

The Recorder reports on how owners of rental properties work with businesses like Co-op Power to increase the value and efficiency of their units via the Mass Save program, here. The co-op has been coordinating a grant program at the center of this feature that's been convincing landlords (and others) around Franklin County to get their energy assessments done.

Co-op Power was featured this week at the site of the excellent new climate change documentary about Naomi Klein's book of the same name, This Changes Everything, an important new voice on the international conversation about the climate challenge. Read it here.

Their structure, their democracy, the way in which they’re bringing benefits to members, all of that is pretty cutting edge,” he said.

Northeast Biodiesel is Hiring

Our long awaited community-owned recycled-oil-to-biodiesel refinery in Greenfield, MA, is now hiring staff in anticipation of starting up operation! The plant will collect used cooking oil from around the region and turn it into fuel for trucks, tractors, cars, and home heating oil systems.
